WHO WHE ARE
From the very beginning of our activity, we have always been committed to handling only high quality handcrafted products, mainly Italian ones. The overwhelming majority of our objects are, in fact, exclusive pieces that are completely hand made in workshops and studios that we strive continuously to find in the most characteristic and representative places of the great Italian artisan tradition, from Veneto, Sicily, Umbria, Tuscany, Liguria, Lombardy….The great MURANO glassmakers’ creations, (both gift and fancy goods and costume jewellery), the marvellous Umbrian ceramics from DERUTA, Sicilian from SANTO STEFANO di CAMASTRA and CALTAGIRONE, from Abruzzi of CASTELLI, and Tuscan products from FLORENCE and MONTELUPO FIORENTINO, just to name a few products that are part of the vast range of items we deal in, bear witness to the very high levels of artistic quality achieved by the Italian handicrafts’ masters, who are inspired and avail themselves of their ancient ancestors’ experience, following in the footsteps they left, always aiming however to invent also new forms, drawings and colours, and therefore renewing themselves respecting traditions. So the objects they create are in no way inferior in beauty and artistic quality to the ones of such a glorious past, but for the inevitable value given to them by the elapsing time.
Ours are not therefore antiques, but objects made in the same way as those made by the ancient times virtuoso craftsmen, who worked exclusively by hand, with the same skills, dedication and accuracy they were gifted with.
A special mention must be made of the outstanding RAKU ceramics we deal in, which are the result of a difficult and complex technique dating back to the XVIth century, recovered and brought to a new life by the Italian ceramist masters.
By purchasing something from our collection you will have an item that is not only an exclusive piece you will be happy to include in your home furnishing, giving it refinement and prominence, but also something high-class which will rise in value by the passing time, while if it be a costume jewellery item (both in sterling silver or like the multicoloured creations of the Venetian glassmaker masters), you will surely be able to show a jewel of unquestionable artistic value, at low cost, which will add to your style and figure a touch off class and distinction.
Our reliability and competence are the fruits of an experience reached in over twenty years of presence on the market, always trying to best meet with care, dedication, and professional seriousness our customer’s needs and expectations.
A bit of advice: do not limit yourself by simply looking at the objects on the pages of our web-site which, for obvious technical reasons, may appear to you as being quite “flat “ and “impersonal”, but try envisioning them in your home or in that particular spot you wish to adorn. By doing so you will surely get a more truthful and more corresponding image to the end result you’d like to achieve.
Consider also that, as we are not professional photographers, the colours of some of the objects in the pictures might be slightly different from the real ones.
P.S. Since we are not native speakers of english, we would like to apologize for our shaky english. If you find something wrong (and you will find it), please, have a laugh and be patient, thanks.
